Unfortunately the bastards at Hard Dog put it on before shipping. They put it on the diagonal where padding won't cover it. I'll probably just pull it off, although I like the SCCA idea.
I have no issue with a sticker for those that want it, it just pisses me off when the manufacturer/dealer does it. I always insist the car dealer leave off their dealership tag. When we ship stuff from the shop, we include them, but not put them on. Great way to do it. |

Lame. I don't even wear t-shirts that have printing on them, even if they are free.

If it's on the main hoop, wouldn't it be cover by padding and a cover anyway?

My girlfriend told me she would not ride in the car with that sticker on it. :|

I think it is lame. I didn't know you can remove them. One reason I have never bought on. I dont think I would mind if it didn't have the flames on it. They dont do much for me. If you remove it will it damage the bar at all?
|
I voted no. Unless someone is paying me.... or in rare use, a forum that I contribute/benefit from... I think vinyl has no use on a car.
If a company would want to see it on my car... they can pay me. |
Lame... I took mine off as soon as I saw it. IIRC I think there was one on the door bars too, also removed. I do wear my 'complimentary' Hard Dog fabrication cap from time to time.

Took mine off when I bought an HD for my previous Miata. I thought it was cool the first day, then I went to work the next day and some guy yelled, "Look, there goes the Hard Dog!" ..... that was enough ....
|
The only hard dogs I usually encounter are trying to mount my leg.
No sticker. |
Perhaps many members on here are blind, but most people laugh at Miata's, especially ones with roll bars. The roll bar I think increases the gayness stereotype. That being said, evank, I think some dude at your work needs a punch in the face, cause he was bustin on your "gay" car. I say, if it's an actual roll bar and not a "style bar" than it's cool in my book. Then again if I cared what people said or thought, I might not drive a miata. I have a roll bar, as you can see in my avatar. It's the Hard Dog Extreme. I don't think mine came with the sticker on it though, in fact, the only sticker I have on my car is a silver "Flyin Miata" sticker on the lower tank of my intercooler.

That's the benefit of a track car I suppose, everyone respects the miata because of what it can do there, and even more respect is given once they realize you care enough about your safety to buy a roll bar. I have way too much on my plate to care about removing a sticker, so it's still on there. I never got much beef when driving it on the street, but was overwhelmed with the respect I found once I started tracking it. At every track day I've been to, they use the miata as an example during the driver's meeting for why you need to lift when someone's passing you on the straights. Last time was hilarious
"actually, the three Miatas that are here have 180hp or more, no need to lift k thanks." |

I have to agree: The sticker is lame.
