I have a few different sets. I NEED my headphones when I'm stripping forms cause otherwise all I hear is the banging hammer to the aluminum or brazilain jibberish all day.

Over the years I've gone through A LOT of headphones and even ipods. The best headphones I've tried to date (overall) have been my v-moda's. My only gripe is I don't like the cord or how it connects. Otherwise the sound is simply amazing compared to my garbage pair of skullcandy ones.

You shouldn't be playing them loud enough to blow them. Losing your hearing is probably just about as close as it comes to being dead to the world. Try turning them down a bit, bro.

 

I use $20 Phillips/O'Neil buds and I'm pretty happy with them.

 

For cheap quality in ear headphones the Klipsch S4 line sounds pretty good and plays loud(I have the S4 reference I think) the X10i sounds great but is quite a bit more money.
The Shure 535s are really quite nice(and spendy), the 425 is a better price point but still spendy
I liked the Grado in ear headphones but not really for loud rock, Etymotic in ears sound flat on the low end(to me) so I don't think you would like them.

My Klipschs have been pretty durable but I don't listen at anywhere near the sustained volumes you do. The fact that you are turning it up so loud probably means you are well on your way to having music never sound good, followed by asking which hearing aids make voices sound good.

 

Get some custom molded three driver Entymotics. You won't blow those.

 

If you're paying more than 10 dollars for earbuds, you're over paying. Look up the 8320's versus something retarded like the Beats.

FTFY. Generally agreed other than that considering the usage scenario of earbuds. Dampening is $$$ though, and for good reason.

You're nitpicking. They are 6 dollars, with those specs I posted. Please tell me what is wrong with you I have NEVER heard a better set of earbuds ever... My friend let me listen to his Beats and I just LOL'd and let him listen to my 6 dollar behemoths. He almost started crying.

I have some iFrogz LUXE earbuds that seem to sound pretty decent..for $25.

 

Motorola bluetooth headset when I'm using iDevices to listen. No cords, and can adjust volume and go back and forward from the headset. Sound and isolation is pretty decent too. Great headset if you hate cords, especially in the gym.

Xbox/PS - Tritton AX-Pro. 5.1 surround in a headphone, love them.

They work great for cancelling out the morons benching 295lbs 3 inches on the smith machine.... But then again, I keep them at a range that is condusive to hearing in the future.
