for the first time in 9 years I do not have a cent of credit card debt.

Now I can actually designate some money to the miata.

It all started with a turbo system on a daily driver that ended in disaster, litterally 8 hit an druns in 6 years during college, some emergency medical care without insurance...then interesest. I send $9000 from November 18 until now. I've been living very frugally. Now, I will hopefully make enough money to cover the MS, swap car, and partially home grown turbo system.

I had two very good years as an Ensign... to the tune of $12k on my Visa. I'd blow $100-$200 every weekend boozing at the local bars in Pensacola. That, plus a computer and a little Hobie Cat, and I was in trouble.

On my first cruise, four months in the Gulf tax-free and I paid it all off. It's a good feeling, congratulations.

nah, I don't have to do that. I'm at a crossroads in my life though. I work only when there is an active disaster, which will be over soon. I'm fighting tooth and nail to get a $41k per year job...and this year I worked so much in the field that I'm bringing home $58k AFTER taxes. I'm also thinking of starting my own consulting company since no one seems to want me working for them. I don't know what to do. The minute I decide though, I'm going to waste a ton of cash on the miata and track days.
