my great uncle used to race F2 back in the 50's and 60's with newman and the like. when i was a kid he used to take me for rides in his bmw touring car. since then i've loved cars.

 

When I was a kid(in the 50's), I repaired my Dad's 49 Ford Panel Truck, My Mom's '51 Buick and then had my own '49 Buick. Years passed and I bought a new '90 Miata Automatic for my new bride.

Enjoyed driving the '90 so much that when our daughter needed a car, I gave her my LSC and got a '91 Miata for myself.

Clutch started slipping in my '91 and I decided to pull it apart myself and never looked back.

 

From when I was a baby I always looked at vehicles. My parents remember tell me some of my first words were "tuck tuck tuck" (truck truck truck) when I point at semi's. I always played with hot wheels, and learned how to drive a stick shift when I was younger playing the psuedo 3d game Hard driving.





I'm the only one in my family that like cars as more than transportation so I have had to learn everything I know myself. I want to learn more but some project will have to wait till I own a house and a second car.

In high school (late 90's) I really wanted a fox body 5.0 mustang or an RX7 (2nd gen), or a cossie Escort (I know we didn't have them here in the US) so at least I was looking a the right drive wheels. I ended up with a ford Escort lx that I tried to mod. I could have a least tried to get a escort GT if I knew anything at that point.

I ended up test driving a 92 miata in 1999 and the rest is History. 13 years later i'm on my 2nd miata and having a blast.
