RE: the first video... it is a fake, but it's composited from bits and pieces. I think the initial slide down is real, as are a few other bits. It was part of a viral campaign for Microsoft (can't remember how or even if it actually was tied to a product/service). There are some video bits that show how things were done, and I was thinking a full breakdown was out there somewhere. Mythbusters should've used a professional for the slide. A luge athlete that could achieve 40mph+.

 

I fell asleep halfway through. I was more interested in the left-v-right thing, even if they don't quite understand the concept.
