How the fuck does Tom@FFS sell anything? (or "M.net retard of the day")

MP asked me if I thought he could safely make 220-250 with a MP62 hotside on CA91 pump gas. I still don't think so. The possibility of failure is exponentionally related to the WHP.
Bill, (formerdatson510man) has done a load of things to his car to get there. Her runs 93 octane on 9:1 pistons. I believe he is barely at 220WHP. It is quite a leap to go from 220 to 250. Even more of a leap to do it on CA91. Even with the base M45 kit Moss recommends 92 octane minimum. And Bill has the best engine management that money can buy. ;) Of course this is just my humble opinion. |
Yep, i gues my setup is just an acident waiting to happen

:dunno:
see if he wants to buy a banner here  |
I believe his level of expertise is related to non intercooled, high compression 99-00 and 01-05 motors. Taken in that context, IE "low" octane, high intake temp, and high compression, coupled with no timing management... I entirely agree with what he said.
Also his customers seem to follow his lead like lemmings. So if he posts that >220 whp is a bad idea, they will take it to heart... and hopefully stop blowing their shit up. Because for a while, it seemed that there was an FFS equipped engine failure every week. |
BTW, I had an interesting PM dialoge with Tom. He seems like an allright guy, when he's not out there whoring his product.
|
I like Tom to but sometimes i find myself doing a double take on his posts. Either he panders to the Newbs or he realy hasn't researched thingsas far as we have. I dunno witch is worse.

He'd certainly fit in nicely with all the FM bashers.
|
Install kit
turn key melt pistons I bought a fuel rail from him, only because he was the only one selling them at the time. they way he stole the design from BRP/SOT was just wrong. If only I had a PC-Pro or two instead of a MS I'd be making so much power. |

Honestly I'm amazed Gary didn't ban him after accusing the forum and FM of playing favorites.
|

If you're referring to the Coldside, you should get your story straight. Tom designed the Coldside kit, BRP was supposed to (sell the kits) accept payment and send Tom his cut.

All I know is what I read when the BS went down. Never cared to dig any deeper.

I bought one of his fuel rails and it's a nice piece at a fair price with good service and friendly emails. Couldn't find it listed on his sight and had to email him about it's availability. I did paint over the white lettering with black paint.
|
Tom's been good to me with tech help, and the accessories I've bought from him are high quality. I run his fuel rail, very nice piece at a good price.
|
I'm thinking about removing my intercooler for a pc-pro. I wish I could run two like the NBs

I posted something I had been told when the deal happened. Obviously I had only heard one side of the story. When I was corrected I admitted that I did not know it all. If I continued to call you all wrong, or deny that I was wrong, then I would see a problem.
I was wrong, I was corrected, then acknowledged that. I guess it's cool to continue dragging me through crap about it. |
damn pat why not scalp him :vash: :crx:

GEEEEEZ I've only been a member here a short time and I'm becomming rabid. It must be catching.

Ah yes, Al Gore, savior of the earth
[T]he Tennessee Center for Policy Research charged Monday that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president's 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours. .... The Center claims that Nashville Electric Services records show the Gores in 2006 averaged a monthly electricity bill of $1,359 for using 18,414 kilowatt-hours, and $1,461 per month for using 16,200 kilowatt-hours in 2005. During that time, Nashville Gas Company billed the family an average of $536 a month for the main house and $544 for the pool house in 2006, and $640 for the main house and $525 for the pool house in 2005. That averages out to be $29,268 in gas and electric bills for the Gores in 2006, $31,512 in 2005. |

don't forget about the other $1080/mo for natural gas.
PS, my power bill for my house last month was $150. Electric only; no gas bill. |

nothing, compared to the energy used to shuttle the president from the white house in dc to his ranch in texas.
as i understand it, marine1 shuttles him from the white house to dulles, where he boards airforce1, which is accompanied by a second 747 (which contains his armored convoy) and at least 1 fighter escort. when he lands in texas, the armored convoy takes him to the ranch. he has satellite and helicopter survilence while in route. this assuredly costs much more, each way, than whatever rediculous amount of energy his home uses per year. |
