How much can I ask for my car?
Hey I bought this car in july 2006 it had 103k miles, Now it has 105k miles, it's a 5spd manual, base model - steelies, no power anything. It's a '99. It has 2001 taillights - on that picture there is only one.
I'm looking to sell it to buy an older miata and a impreza rs, so how much could I ask for it?
Pictures attached.

the drivers seat is ripped a little. it was rearended once but only had to replace the bumper. the rest of the interior is in great condition.
I'll be taking better pics when it stops raining and after I wash the car.
btw. I'm asking how much I can get because I'm considering selling this one and buying a impreza 2.5 rs coupe, and building it or get a loan and buy a 93 rx-7 or build this one.

one guy wants to sell a 99 L coupe w/outengine tranny for 1500. basically everything without an engine and tranny. so I could sell all the L parts and get rs parts instead and put in a built ej20. the guy has a ej20g(are these good?) shortblock for 200

Miata values vary regionally. In GA, simillar cars go for around $5500. I think they're worth a little more in the NE, so maybe $6k. Might be tough to move until spring tho. Good luck with it.

I threw that out on the high side. Guess I should actually look in my dealer's black book before I throw out numbers like that. Ben's number's are more reasonable. I think he might be able to get mid $6k in the spring to some sucker that wants a convertible for the upcoming heatwave though.

I'm considering selling if someone gives me 6k+ and get a loan for an '93 rx-7. otherwise probably I'll just dd the miata and build a subaru RS, or just build the miata ( too many possibilities)

Man if I was you I would keep the '99. It's a good looking reliable car that you can DD for a long time to come.
Just wash the damn thing and put some wheels on it cause those steelies are killin me. Build up that RS that you were talking about, sounds like you got a good lineup of parts to buy already.

that's what i thought. it was supposed to be cjernigan.
So I though what I want to do! And got to a conclusion that I should build a 1.8l miata engine and keep dd'ing it until thats finished and drop it in during a weekend. or sell, get a loan and buy an rx-7 and dd a stratus. But the rs still is a good idea so idk. or cheapest way: buy some rims, drop the miata and dd it as it is.

2.5RS's were stupid expensive (~$10k for something decent) when I was looking a year ago. I settled on a $4k 97 impreza outback sport (2.2 SOHC). I finally turbo'ed it last week with the help of some nice christmas gifts
