I believe it.
I have friends that absolutely needed it.
After meeting you, I'm sure you did too

EDIT:

I should add that I was more than ready to drop $30 on one of those Boss/Pyle/China-specials to put in the 1994 Miata before I sell it, but was scared off by the numerous reviews complaining that Bluetooth worked only intermittently, or the receiver had pervasive static across all inputs, or the unit just completely died after 3 weeks. I'm hoping that moving up to a Clarion unit that sold for $90 originally should at least get me something that will work reliably for a few years. I bought 2 so that I'll have one ready for the next Miata.

Does anybody sell a double DIN for factor tablet that doesn't suck? That looked like it was going to be a thing a few years ago, then it went to ****. Now the only options I see on Amazon are the same junk you could buy in 2014.

I'm about to get back into the car-driving world, and have put some considerable research into exactly this.

My conclusion:

The CarPC fad is dead. And I say this as one of the first people to have actually installed a PC into a car, a little over ten years ago. It was a Pentium II with 128 MB of RAM. I ran the eManage software, and later Megatune, on it. If you dig deep enough into the Greddy EMU forum here, you'll find pictures.

The solution:

But a mechless 1DIN head unit with bluetooth connectivity. Buy a gooseneck mount which fits whatever smartphone you own and mount it to the dash or tunnel. Permanently install a 5v regulator stubbed out to a micro-USB (or iThing) cable.

Seriously. Beyond the fact that there are no good solutions for mounting an Android device in the stock radio cutout, the practical value of an active 3G/4G connection cannot be overstated. Navigation is worthless without a live data connection, and the benefits of having your favorite podcast engine always automagically loaded with the latest media (I use PodCatcher) cannot be overstated.

I'm pretty sure torque zombie installed an Android tablet in his stock radio cutout.

I would have been skeptical of "car cover" and "lifetime warranty" being used in the same sentence.

Quite often thats condensation. I got the cheapest one available from ebay. I only care about dirt and tree sap so it worked well for me.

Air rifle at 10 meters is an Olympic sport? I wish I could travel back in time 30 years and tell that to young me.

Shooting in some form has been a part of the Olympics since 1896. 10m air rifle specifically since 1984. I can assure you that it's not nearly as easy as it sounds and demands incredible self control and focus.

Alcohol is actually considered to be a performance enhancing drug in shooting sports (at least for NCAA shooting). When I shot against club teams in Germany it wasn't uncommon for some competitors to have beer or schnapps between targets.
