The city runs and owns the water supply, so while I pay a separate bill for the water that I consume and the associated sewer service, the city's water infrastructure improvements that I voted "yes" to this past November are tied exclusively to my property taxes.

A little more than a year out, I'd like to thank you for this recommendation. It has proven to be an excellent knife, and has been awarded accordingly.

Excellent. Ours is going on 11 years of use now, and other than one small nick in the edge and a couple tarnished spots where it wasn't dried off quickly enough, it's still going strong. Now that you've reminded me, I might try to polish those spots out and actually resharpen it rather than just steeling the edge.

I'm on the hunt for a replacement for my miata radio. My only requirements are a 3.5mm input, 12v power, 2 channel speaker output. Small and cheap are preferred.

Any suggestions?

How cheap? I've been pondering snagging US TDA7492P 50W+50W Wireless Bluetooth4.0 Audio Receiver Digital Amplifier Board | eBay for an ultra-cheap bluetooth streaming only solution in my beater.

I already do this. Mini-amp + bluetooth dongle. It's all behind a blanking plate and involves no fiddling. Starts up when the car does, automatically pairs with the phone, easy.

I've used XS3868 Stereo Audio Module with Shield Wireless Bluetooth Module 400 ma Perfect | eBay to add bluetooth to headunits with aux-ins (and USB power), but occasionally they would need to be repaired.

Bluetooth audio has been hit and miss for me with pairing. That's why I was hoping to find out what dann0 used.

AirEnabler Adapter Kit (for Apple AirPlay) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EZWVZ44..._CcLtybT37B85Y

Which worked great for a few years, then suddenly stopped working. I replaced it with this Bluetooth dongle which has worked well so far. No problems pairing with my iPhone:

Vostronics Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver Adapter Wireless Stereo Audio Transmission https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J3GPUMO..._tgLtybAPZAM9W

I use it with this mini-amp, which provides more than enough power for the door speakers:

And it all hides behind this blanking plate, which took me about ten minutes to make, and looks like it:

Glad I bought a dashcam on Black Friday.

My my wife is sceptical of dashcam still. We were driving behind a Fiesta ST this weekend, though, with a cam on his rear hatch and on his dashboard. I used that for reinforce to her that it's not about 'catching people', it's about covering your *** and protecting yourself when you value your car and you're a better driver than 90% of the other drivers on the road that have nothing to lose if they try to pin fault in you.

I am jealous of your simple bluetooth radio set-ups... I still have a piece of **** slider phone, because $10/month phone plan, so not an option for me.
CD/FM works fine in Miata. Usually drive it with the radio off anyway. Kinda wish I had something better in my truck though.
The CD player was broken when I bought it 4 years ago. Been listening to FM radio on my 1.5hr commute everyday.
Typing this out I realize how cheap I am... not sure if proud or ashamed...

Have you guys ever measured how much static weight would be on the engine mounts with the engine and the transmission all installed in a 99 NB please?

In other words, think of a road ready NB.
Engine+tranny assembly is supported by 2 engine mounts up front and by the PPF at the rear.

How much weight would be on the two engine mounts with the engine off?

Sorry Joe, a lot happened and that project got sidetracked.
TV happened for instance.

There is one major good news, tho.
TRT1 picked up our show.
That's like being on BBC1. Real big deal.

We started out on TRT Belgesel, which is a thematic channel, devoted to documentaries and such.
The show was never promoted, they just started airing it.
We broke into the top 100 by the 3rd episode, and placed 82nd, with a share of 3.63 in the AB segment.

Sanayi Savaslari effectively multiplied the most number of viewers that channel had ever gathered before, by 7.
Sevenfold.
TRT execs are impressed, I guess.

But...

I still have my drawings and calculations.
I will build that lift.

Do you want downward weight or do you want compressive force? Compressive force would be a good deal greater because of the angle of the mounts.

I guess I'm just not sure of the application.

What's worse, is that I don't know the actual measurement for either force.
