buy a cheap set of carbon steel steak knives and sharpen the tip yourself if it's not. 2 minutes on amazon shows a 4 pc set for $10.

Theres 2 different types. the 2nd one looks better.

They are comparing this one to isabel as far as the track goes. Isabel was a monster that luckily weakened before landfall. The storm surge is what caused most of our (murderland) problems when she brought all that water up the bay.
Our power grid is not designed for these storms. Not looking forward to losing power for days again. |

Just what I need, another NYC hurricane... Why did I leave Florida, again?

Co-worker (who is in the engineering department): "Do you know if VIZ4 is being fed composite sync or tri-level sync?"
Me: (grabs an oscilloscope and plugs it into the reference line.) "It's tri-level." Co-worker: (pointing to oscilloscope) "What do you call that, anyway?" Me: "An oscilloscope." |

Just in case anyone wondered what Techsalvager was up to these days.
I can't fathom the amount of time, money, and effort spent on... well... i'm not even sure what he's trying to do. Want more power - ClubRoadster.net |

Do you use video trigger on scopes? That's my next feature I'm implementing currently.
Since the fieldrate of 1080i SDI is identical to that of NTSC, we do still use analog composite sync (blackburst) quite a lot, and for that we keep a couple of old analog waveform monitors around. These devices are designed specifically to look at video signals, and sync themselves automatically. This is what one full frame of interlaced analog bars looks like on a waveform monitor: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1443707856 However, for looking at sync, you can just as easily use any old conventional scope set for falling-edge-triggering, since a sync signal is at 0 most of the time. Here's what composite sync looks like on a conventional scope: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1443707856 Tri-level sync, which is required by some newer HDSDI-only equipment, is even simpler: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1443707856 |

It sounds like you need those knives that the hibachi chefs use. Dudes slice chicken and steak with those and look like they're drawing a hot knife through vegetable oil.

I couldn't even laugh at most of it, it was so dumb. The people supporting him are even worse.
I did laugh when he said he would never use another megasquirt though. It must be much more complicated than running a wideband for every cylinder. |
