Maybe she's bi or gay, is attracted to the other woman and you need to approach it from the three way perspective. Good luck figuring that one out while keeping your employment.

Or perhaps she's just following the old adage to "Keep thy friends close, and thine enemies closer." ;)

Maybe she thinks she's one of the educated ones who will be party members and not subject to the constraints placed on the proletariat?

Seems like so many socialists think they'll be in control of the thumb and never be under it.

Everyone is too important to be a prole. Just ask them.

It is interesting to note that one of the largest moneymaking industries of the last 75 years was based on the (perhaps veiled) premise that the more money they make off their customers, the more it is likely they will not be customers as long. In fact many unregulated industries work on this premise. And quite a few of those are unregulated because they vehemently refuse to be--by design, or by breakin the law. breakin the law.

I know I'm a stereotypical American, but can you help me understand where on the map Elbonia is in relation to Borduria?

It is slightly to the left.

wackbards 11-07-2018 06:34 PM

That is so meta

found out today when checking out of harbor freight that their headquarters in camarillo is in one of those big fires in california. had to manually enter my credit card old school style.

I lived for a year in a 200 sq ft yurt on crags drive just off of Malibu lake down by the old MASH set. It's all burned now. It's absolutely beautiful, but scary AF out there this time of year.

So, this is interesting...

On Saturday afternoon, one of our production switchers failed pretty hard. I came in, and we got tech support on the speakerphone from the control room. Meanwhile, I had one of my engineers upstairs at the equipment room conferenced in.

During the troubleshooting process, one of the main focuses was on a DDR2 memory stick in the switcher's main control board. We said the phrase "DDR2" aloud many times. We went on a quest through the piles of obsolete PCs in the storage room until we found one with the correct-sized DDR2 DIMM, whereupon we installed it in the switcher. Didn't fix the problem, but the key point is that the word "DDR2" drifted through the air many times. As I always do, I had my cell-phone clipped to my belt during the process.

Now, at no point (until this very post) have I typed DDR2 into a computer any time recently. No google searches, no Amazon searches, etc. I've only spoken it aloud.

Today, I see this ad on Facebook:

Yup. I've taken pictures of industrial equipment and nameplates only to have it show up in my suggested.

I've searched things on my work PC which has absolutely no cross accounts with my personal accounts and have had stuff show up in FB suggested.

If you share network access with other people its possible they googled it. At my last job lots of sex-oriented objects started appearing in my recommended ads just as a buddy found a gf. :D

Ask if your wiretap has a good recipe for pancakes.

wackbards 11-12-2018 03:17 PM

Start vocally pining for expensive things that dont exist, like a cruise to a landlocked country. Make those bots work for a living

This.

I guess most people don't realize that when they give an app permission to use the microphone, camera, or other components that it doesn't stipulate "while I'm using a particular app for my own purposes". Blanket permission is permission.

They probably also don't know a cell phone or similar device can be turned on remotely to determine location, eavesdrop, or use the cameras without alerting the user. Your permissions don't cover that part exactly but that capability has been around for decades.

I've got a book for you that discusses how it has been used IRL, if you are interested.

Off to Zanzibar to shoot 3 episodes.
Car's parked in the garage, I'll be on the beach...

Joe Perez 11-14-2018 02:09 PM

Once self-driving cars become widespread, there are going to start being uncomfortable situations in which people die mid-trip, but still arrive at their destination.

"Hey, kids, Grandma's here!"

(Kids excitedly run outside and open the car door.)
