I just left them with words of wisdom, like any great leader would. You can add tags there even if you didn't post the thread. :giggle: |
 Which one of you gays told on me to the staff?

Well, got the new t-belt in last night with a great amount of help from the FM t-belt tools I ordered. I didn't event have to fuck with the idler/tensioner. But the fun part came next...replacing the engine mounts that I ordered from FM. Didn't take me too long to get the old ones out. I founf my 2 year old Mazdaspeed mounts were ready to be replaced...at least the driver's side was...it was torn on one side. Now putting them back in was trickery. Like a n00b, I got the mounts assembled and bolted them to the engine and proceeded to hate life. Then I took the driver's side off and got the bolt through the subframe first....then let the jack drop the engine down which put the pass. side into the subframe. There was a bit of hating life trying to get the holes on the block lined up on the driver's side mount, but not all that bad. So t-belt is done, mounts are done...now comes the fun reassembly process which includes putting the DP back in (yuck), replacing the water lines to the turbo (and bypassing the TB water lines while I am at it), new t-stat (OE Mazda for a 96 m/y), fill with coolant and oil.....then wait for the VC to come back from the powdercoater. Joy. Unfortunately, I don't think the VC will be done before Sat. so I won't get to drive the car this weekend. Car has been down for almost a month now :(

Ugh, do not want to put my engine mounts in.
|
Tip- Mount the pass. side to the engine, do not mount the drivers side up...get it in the subframe hole first.

doing a timing belt and water pump on a car im trying to get rid of, not any fun at all.

Coworker died last night. Young guy, 24 or 25, collapsed and couldn't be revived. Sucks.
|
at least he died doing what he loved.

Watching debates?
That sucks to hear though. I've had good friends spontaneously die like woah. It is never easy. |
Seems cold to say this, but it's more weird than anything. We weren't close friends, but I liked him and enjoyed working with him. And today I feel slightly guilty every time I start thinking about how to take over whatever stuff he was working on, or clearing his stuff out of the freight room, or marking him off the schedule. Just weird, morbid.
|
He "collapsed"? Heart failure? I lost a friend to heart failure a couple years ago, he was in that age range and it was very sudden. Stuff like that can be tough.
|
Don't know the details, I wasn't there. He was a heavy smoker and drinker, though. Possibly a recreational drug user, though I don't know for sure.
|
shit, you can die from that stuff?
|
So I've heard.
|
oh well: LODO!

I had a college classmate that got into the coke. He died on a Tuesday after partying on the weekend. Heart exploded, and he died in his parent's house. No one had the guts to tell them he'd gotten into the drugs, as he had always been so clean-cut in high school.
