When you get back to school, check to see if they have a Veteran's Academic Resource Center. Even if you don't think you'll need it at first, it's good to know if it's available. They can help coordinate with professors and staff and assist with the transition.

I mean I am planning on buying a house very soon and will have an extra room. I have a welder and we can totally turbo your miata, then you can part it out, buy a different one, turbo it, then part it out again. I will completely support your obsession.

It wasn't really my fault, Mazda should have used stronger materials, and I really don't know my own strength sometimes.

Its official. I'm getting promoted to "boss" status! :bigtu:

I've already been borderline running the business (estimates, scheduling, billing, etc) on top of working 6 days a week in the field.

Starting tomorrow I'll be learning how to do payroll, quarterlies, etc.

First order of business? Give myself a motherfucking raise!!! lol

You should run for Congress.

Fun fact, as part of the "Fiscal Cliff" deal Congress voted to freeze its pay.

How magnanimous.

Not really. I don't like politics.

If I'm going to keep doing labor and mechanic work, plus make all the phone calls and now run the office, wouldn't you say that's only fair? Or should I just keep making the same hourly wage while my workload and responsibilities change ten fold?

Today was my crash course on quickbooks. I took 7 pages of notes and learned how to do payroll, pay the tax, enter bills, pay the bills and how to file it all in the office. So next week I'll be making out my own check! Right after we get done pouring concrete that is. lol

Braineack Jan 3, 2013 02:51 PM

Since pay roll taxes increased, you should start limiting payroll to once a month...
