So, it is now common knowledge that we have 12 hours, and then it is all over. So what are you going to do with your 12 hours?

My cousin linked this gem to me today. Thought I would share, and warn you all that the clock is ticking!

I would use the 12 hours to drive to Nicky T's house and jam a 2560 up his anus.

Actually the atom is not very reliable either.

My buddy does ALL the maint and work on a local rich guys (VIN:007, appeard on Jay Lenno's Garage :) ) Atom, and that thing is breaking all sorts of crap pretty frequently.

Clutch, wheel bearings, engine problems (it has the built "stage 3" sc ecotec) and its mainly just a street car, doesn't even do much track work.

I would love to DD an Atom to work.

I would love it on the track more.

I like the exo frame of the atom more than the exocet. But I like the exocet's options. Front engine/RWD N/A, Turbo, v8 .... oh my.

Topic dorifto a bit, but as much as I appreciate cars like the Ariel Atom, I kind of don't get the point.

If you have the money to buy an Atom just as track day toy, why wouldn't you go buy a Formula Vee or a Formula Ford or Spec Miata or ANYTHING that would allow for some real racing?

Cars like the Atom don't really do anything particularly well -- you can't drive it around town or to the restaurant to show it off, and it doesn't have a good racing class either. If you want to have fun on a track (and have that much money to burn), why aren't you buying a real race car instead of a pretend race car?
