i was just curious as to what it meant...i was pretty sure it meant something along the lines of you will be the biggest bitch in the military, but just wanted to clarify...

Army gives large bonus's (sometimes)

If you don't want to "GET SOME" then become a cook, or a computer geek.

If you want action, 11B/21B/31B, and plenty of harder courses are available...

And if you want to be somewhere in the middle there are plenty of maintainance jobs around.

Not so much anymore. I came in just over a year and a half ago and got $40K in sign-on bonuses. The same job is now bonus-less. Army cut waaaayyy back on sign-on bonuses since the economy tanked.

Stay away from 11 and 13 series if you consider the Army.

Those jobs don't appeal to everyone, but there's nothing wrong with them. Look at all the jobs available in each service and decide which one is best for you.

The thing you have to keep in mind is the military will be what you make of it. Complain, bitch, moan and it will suck. Stay positive and motivated and it isn't too bad.

With the Army and Marines I think there is a bit more of a sense of accomplishment, at least on the tactical side. Nothing like shaping the situation on the ground with a 4 man team on tucked away on the side of a mountain. Sure the 9 hour ruck up sucked, and getting mortared later that day sucked, but when it's over you just accomplished something less than 1% of the population in America is even capable of doing.

By the way, you can do that in the Air force too, it's called JTAC.
