Hell yeah. That guy was one of my heros.

But he never returned any of my emails asking about parts, etc. I'm small-fries I guess.

magnamx-5 08-27-2007 03:04 PM

wow i wonder how much it costs. 2.25lbs/hp very impressive i wonder how they consider 225's capable of holding 370+hp though. seems kinda far fetched to me.

Ben 08-27-2007 03:07 PM

wow it's the mini-mcclerean that you still can't afford.

It doesn't weight shit and is AWD.

m2cupcar 08-27-2007 03:46 PM

$125k, but I'm sure you could build it yourself for far less. :D

For that kind of money I'd rather have a Caterham or Noble and spend the leftover money on a vacation...Or a Aston Martin Vantage... or see if a Radical can be imported. I saw a Top Gear episode where they made a grown man damn near cry on the track giving him a ride in a Radical. Good shit.

Braineack 08-27-2007 04:38 PM

I saw one of these on the road in Boston while I was there a few weeks ago....looked interesting...

the t-rex's are cool. all the basketball players have them. see 'em at 404 motorsports all the time, at least I used to. haven't been to the hood in a while.

You're not really up on things. Radicals have been for sale in the US for at least 5 years. There are quite a few dealers. But they are not street legal, and probably never wil be.

I know of one that was registered for the street, albeit not legally...check One Lap of American pictures from 2005. Apparently New Hampshire will do anything ;)

Yea, I got a friend with a grey market european 2 stroke GP bike that's registered and insured, and there is a guy floating around town in a completely grey market Renault Alpine GTA/A610. But it took Bill Gates what, 10 years to get his 959 road legal?

y8s 08-27-2007 09:57 PM

that dp1 gives me engineering boner.

turbopezz 08-28-2007 01:02 AM

i love that little 8cyl motor.that most be a blast on a street bike.

akaryrye 08-28-2007 01:57 AM

wow, thats really a pretty nice design. Says the motor weighs 200 lbs, driver next to it should balance that out nicely.

speedf50 08-28-2007 02:13 AM

I'll take 2.

That thing is stupendous. I remember back last year when I first found out about that I couldn't get over that engine and how blindingly fast it must be. It's like some kind of insane shifter kart. I want one of those engines... bad.

lazzer408 08-28-2007 03:50 AM

Reminds me of the Atom.

akaryrye 08-28-2007 11:16 AM

oh I think this thing would be somewhat faster than an arial atom. I bet something like that would just rip a new on into a track like buttonwillow.

cjernigan 08-28-2007 11:18 AM

That website says they're testing the same motor in the atom now.

jayc72 08-28-2007 11:26 AM

The layout kind of reminds me of an RC car.
