Yup, it was Micheal Keaton. I remember seeing that one in the theater.

To be honest, I liked the Heath Ledger Joker a lot more than the Jack Nicholson Joker. I realize that the first film was trying to be true to its comic-book / afternoon TV roots, but I really do think that they improved a lot on the "originals" with the last couple of films.
