Is the change in Entropy generation a property?

Property- any quantity that depends on the state of the system and is independent of the path by which the system arrived at the given state.

Seems like Entropy generation would be path dependent. So then it would not be a property. Studying for a thermodynamics test if it's not obvious.

Also: Can you define entropy at a given state? It's a property, therefore you should be able to, right?

Thanks for all the help guys, great answers.

Entropy generation is NOT a property as it is path dependent. Finally found that in my notes. Makes sense.

And hell, I can look up a value for specific entropy, so I can calculate the entropy of whatever we are considering if I know mass. So I guess it can be defined for a given state.
