I hate 99% of miata owners!
I HATE 99% OF MIATA OWNERS!
The are ALL SHEEPLE!
Step 1) buy a miata
Step 2) LOWER miata 1" even though it RUINS SUSPENSION TRAVEL
Step 3) DENY being a RICER
Step 4) Proceed to do "track-day" and "auto cross" rather than drive on real roads.
It really sickens me that when the miata came out in 90 people such as myself gathered and awed at it's TRUE suspension. The first thing I noticed was how the car was LOW - REAL LOW, *AND* that it had a huge wheel gap. Back THEN all of us REAL sports car enthusasts almost creamed our pants - for we KNEW what that meant! LOW+ GENEROUS SUSPENSION TRAVEL=UN-BEE-LIE-VABLE USER CONTROL / FUN!!!
It saddens me today to see how REAL sports car dynamics are overlooked in favor of image, posturing, and removal of 'ugly wheel gap' *sigh*. I always seem to be the happiest miata driver - and it is because I've kept the suspension STOCK for over a decade (yes I changed the shocks!)
I've driven lowered miatas - plenty - all kinds of set ups - none compare to the feel and control of stock. The thing is people used to realize lowering makes a car like this MUCH WORSE - but modern miata mythology has overshadowed common sportscar-sense!
