I hate everyone in FL
Actually I'm just jealous. The wife and I flew into Miami last night for a Caribbean cruise this upcoming week, and it is such a relief from the freakin cold in Salt Lake! It's 8:30 in the morning here and I am sitting by the pool in shorts and a t-shirt basking in the nice sun. Weather.com says it's 24* at home.... You all suck.

i have friends in CT who call me every winter.
"that's it man, i'm sick of this ****, i'm moving south with you"
"this blows, it's so ugly and cold here, why am i here?"
spring comes around and they forget all about it...like i said, every winter i get these types of calls.
it took me 8 yrs to convince my wife to move down to FL from CT.
after 6-7 yrs. in south FL you couldn't pay her to move back up.
so much easier, not having to put on layers of clothes, shovel driveways, de-ice windshields, start the car 15 minutes in advance so it heats up...etc
not to mention having to put up with 5-6 months of just **** dirty weather.
So much easier to get up, put on some shorts, a t-shirt and slide on your flip flops and out you go. Top goes down on the car, and enjoy. Life is short you know...

we're doing the Carnival cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We got a pretty sweet deal with airfare. I'm mostly excited to get out of the cold and away from work for a while.
I've tried convincing my wife that we need to move south, but she likes being around our families too much. Oh well.

Grrrr...
I've been in Manhattan for three weeks now. We had a few "nice" days (temps in the 40s) but for the most part it's been in the 20s and low 30s, with insane wind to boot.

I was outside most of the day today and got absolutely roasted by the sun. I've been putting aloe on constantly since I got home. I'll have to post up a picture of the skin peeling in a few days. Damn Florida winters, when it's only 80 outside it just doesn't cross your mind to put sunscreen on!

I hate south Florida and can't wait to get out. Hot as hell during the summer, no fun roads to drive on and it's too damn crowded. Not to mention the economy down here is hurtin BAD.

I'd like to think Florida has it better than the rest of its Southeast brothers, since we still get cold winters, but have summers just as hot and humid. Winter in Florida does kick *** though. Id much rather take a trip down in the winter and be alone on the beach in 70 degree weather vs hot summer at 100. I hate the heat. Warm is nice, but hot with bugs the size of small dogs, and no rain for weeks or months at a time sucks.
