Shhh, we're supposed to make it sound awesome so people will want to move here. I have this vision that one day the negative equity in my home will be less than the 25% down payment I made.

I got a house for rent

 

I used to live in West Palm and I can say I agree with you completely. That part of Florida is way too crowded and it doesn't get the slightly cooler, drier air that we get further north.

You also get more people with bad attitudes from places in the country where bad attitudes are more common. Southeast FL doesn't have as many courteous drivers as west central FL does. We have more mid-westerners and southerners in the mix and the entire demeanor is different. It is a lot less stressful driving around here than it was over there.

And we have a few curves up this way. The Poker Run today had us on most of the curvy roads in three counties north of Tampa. We even went through hill country in the Dade City and Brooksville areas(some of the only really hilly land in CFL) . I do miss the mountains sometimes in the summer...

 

I always talk about how much I hate South Florida. Realistically, I miss it like hell. Maybe I just miss the parents penny, who knows. I miss the cuban/mexican/puerto rican food horribly.

And the bahamahs are like 60 miles away. Best seafood too.

I think i'm homesick

 

Ahh, but Tallahassee, while somewhat bucolic, is the land of beautiful and abundant tail. If I were a single fellow I believe I could stand to spend a few semesters there again sampling the fine cuisine.

Edit: They had a 4 girls to 1 guy ratio when I was there last...

 

I hate this place. I've been trying to sell my place for a year with no luck. I'm living 2 lives right now with my wife in Charlotte and me down here. The people here are miserable. Like Phil said earlier no decent driving roads here. If I drive 5 hours from Ft Lauderdale, guess what? I'm still in F*cking Florida! When I leave the only thing I'll miss are my parents and 2 favorite sports teams the Marlins and Panthers.
