Default I just failed at picture messaging on my iPhone

Apparently AT&T have been holding out on us. If you enable manual carrier updates in iTunes you can get the latest carrier settings and enable this standard feature.

I wrote a little guide on how to do it here:

iPhone users... want MMS without jailbreak? Here's how... - MX5 Miata Atlanta Owners Club

Can you view the [ code ] boxes without being a member?

Well ****. It doesn't seem to be working entirely yet... having trouble actually sending the pictures now.

Wait, did I miss something? Can you really not natively send MMS messages on an iPhone?

Yeah seriously, I've been sending pics on my g1 for forever. In fact I used to do that on all my blackberrys and as far back as my old nokia.

I've got the next gen G1, the MyTouch and I am absolutely loving it. Android FTW.

Nope, it's a stupid feature that should have been included. But still, the iPhone pisses on the rest as a device but let's try and avoid a war of words here.

I'm still having some issues but I'm not sure if that's down to the network of the other person I'm sending messages too. I think it'll take a little experimenting to be sure.

ya my phone supposedly has the same hardware as the G1 but really seems light-years faster. Not sure what the difference is.

I would be with T-mobile but their coverage in my area is just isn't up to par. I prefer them on the whole.

Yeah, weird. I can do all kinds of crazy (to me, my iPhone 3GS is my first real "smart" phone) things with mine. Use Skype to make calls using my LAN and get around crappy Ft. Ord reception, send texts in foreign languages, record, edit, and send videos as texts, but not pictures. So weird!

My g1 used to be slow. With the new android update its really up there. The phone literally was a whole new phone after the update. Works really great.

Didn't work for me, but I have Vista 64. How do I include the (x86) in my program files directory? Spaces? No spaces?

Do you use swirlymms? It's still more of a performance to use than it should be.

I've ran out of suggestions at this point. I've tried a few different things, I think it probably did work like how we have it now for a limited time and then ATT fixed it so we're SOL.

Nice title change.
