hey guys, its been a long two months but i finally made it! i graduated a couple hours ago!

im a e-1 airman, waiting to go to a school in pensacola florida this coming wednesday. i sent some money to my dad to fix my motor, so for all you florida folks, lets roll out there sometime!!

 

you went through navy boot camp and you are an airman?

 

yeah. im trying to be an air traffic controller. the navy isnt only for ships...

Right.. but the airforce has people that do jobs similar to the Army but we don't call them Soldiers. I'm still confused... oh and congrats..

RIGHT but they are in the Navy. Navy has seamen, Army has soldiers, Airforce has airmen (even the ones that never fly, or have anything to do with flying!!), Marines have Marines...

I mean I know the reasoning thanks to google...

Just seems weird to me.

 

Congratulations for making it through boot camp and thank you for your service. You'll never forget the things you did in boot and they will have a positive impact on you the rest of your life.

Now, as a E-1 you'd be a Airman Recruit. Full Airman is a E-3 but you'll make that quick.

I'm with the other guy. You're not an Airman unless you're Air Force, a Seaman unless you're Navy, a Marine unless you're well in the Marines, and you're not one of us Soldiers unless you're in the Army.

 

And you're not cuban unless you're cuban, unless you're me.
