Huh, I might have to take you up on that one of these weekends. Actually I already have a box of WWB .380 in my stash that I bought in anticipation of owning something to fire it. In early fall of '08 I was at a fun show and started the process of buying a P3AT but the state NICS was down so the dealer couldn't run the check. I stuck around for over an hour but the system still hadn't been fixed so I wound up not buying it that day. Then a couple months later the election happened and my purchasing priorities got shifted around.

I'd like to get an Escalade, or a Smart Car. I'm not sure. LOL
Decide what you want to do with it before you decide what to buy.

Turbotufas:

My grandma carries the LCP (not slamming you here). It's a nice little gun, and she loves the hell out of it, almost as much as her $$$ STI.

What I said:

"It would not be my #1 choice as a self defense weapon"

"The reason I chose it is because I can carry it anywhere and can just barely feel it in my pocket."

The only expectations I have of the gun is that it will be there if I feel that I need it. I'd carry my wife's riot gun around with me if I could but it is not feasible to do that. <G>

Story of a local guy with a P32 who gunned down a punk trying to rob him (another lucky spine shot). The fact that the piece of **** walked around a bit after being shot was not lost on me. I know the stopping power of the gun is nil. FWIW, this guy did EVERYTHING wrong and still managed to kill the bad guy. The article below doesn't tell the entire story but he pretty much screwed everything up (the way he carried the gun, the ammo he used, didn't fill the entire magazine, talked to the cops and the press, etc). The only thing he managed to do correctly is take a punk gang banger piece of **** off the earth. He did have the local black community after his *** for a while though and was in fear for his life. <--- What a sad state we are in.

Didn't look too close at the gun did I. The crimson trace cover made it look more like a glock trigger guard at quick glance. No safety release on the trigger was a dead giveaway. I've been contemplating a G34 for a fun target gun and a G26, G27, or G30 for a carry. Not well versed in guns so opinions are welcome.

Make sure you like the way that the Glock feels in your hands when you are shooting. The first gun I bought was a Glock and I could never get comfortable with it in my hands. So I sold it and picked up a Walther PPKS and I have been extremely happy with it.

Check out the Glock 30 in my post...I sent it to Ben at Boresight Solutions and he reduced the grip with a new angle and textured it. Makes a huge difference. Glocks don't point naturally for me (I prefer the 1911 grip angle) but this G30 does.

FWIW, my wife's riot gun is a Mossberg "Persuader" (500A 12 Gauge 8-Shot). Yes, it feels like dog **** when you shoot it. If I give it to you and let you blast 8 rounds in a row your wrist will be in agony. Horrible angle on the pistol grip.

I was thinking more the shotgun from T2

Then again, any sawed off reminds me of that movie anyway. So it may not look the same.

The one from T2 was a lever action, if I remember right, how bad assed is that?

Seems like I remember one part with a lever, and the other with a pump. Seems like I remember him pumping it when he had lost an arm.

Oh... maybe it was. In that case the "NOOOOOOOOO! NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" part pops into my head, during the break out of the psych ward scene.
