If were forced to sell your Miata, what would you buy?

Default If were forced to sell your Miata, what would you buy?

I'm thinking about selling my turbo Miata. It's my third and as much as I love my car, it's time to move on to something new. I just can't decide what kind of car I should move on to.
I'm thinking maybe a 240SX (yeah, yeah, I know), E30 or E36 325IS, second gen MR2 turbo.
Anybody have horror stories or good experiences with these cars?
If you moved on, what would y'all get?

Maybe I should just sell it and put some money down on an EVO IX

I think I would either do an S2000 (But only if I had enough money to turbo or supercharge it right away cause there slow) or an EVO.

I would definately rock a 2nd gen mr2. I heard that they have real shitty engine management, so plan for upgrades quick.

FD RX7
When I got the Miata I had a 1 hr commute one way. My commute is now 10 minutes. I can handle a few "quirks".

An old Alfa GTV would be fun. More work than I'm willing right now, though.

... um ok. Stock S2000 is pretty quick. If you have driven one or ridden in one you must not have experienced 7 - 9k rpm at full throttle because that thing goes pretty well up there. Below that, you are right. Not too great on low rpm power but good enough to get around. Had I a s2000, i would choose high end rubber and suspension componants over boost.

I bought my miata to replace my bikes after I broke my knee, leg, and shoulder in an accident. I rode cruisers for years before I got my first crotch rocket. It's omg incredibly fast, but then again it puts as much power to the ground as my car @ 7-8 psi and weighs like 350lbs.

If the miata had to go, I'd want a 94-95 E500 or part ownership in an airplane.

the E30 is a great car, but they all have 200,000 miles on them.

I might consider a new Civic SI sedan... you know, to haul my buddies around comfortably. And they're cheap.

too many sackriders, too overpriced. I'd go E36.

i tossed around the idea of an mr2 t top turbo and an fd, i think the fd would prevail as my next car but if i get enough money id try hard to spring for an m roadster.

If I had to sell my NA, I'd buy an NB.

Already got the crotch rocket thing taken care of. Well, it's an SV650 actually, which is sort of one step closer to sanity than, say, a Gixxer. V-twin torque, baby!

I've wanted an M coupe for a long time but the S54 cars are so damn rare

I have driven an S2000 before and it was fun but you must not have raced one in a boosted miata have you? I also thought the S2000 was fast stock untill I raced one, then I just laughed at them.

As much as I'd love to have a new M coupe, it ain't happening in the near future.
I was thinking I could spend $8k tops, so the E36 and second gen MR2 turbo seem like the best canidates. I hear the 2.5-liter BMW engine takes nicely to turbocharging...
A pre-smog SR-20DET powered 240Z would be pretty sweet too.

Usually 250 whp in a Miata will walk all over a Comptech or Vortech blown S2000.
