I don't like them at all.
But maybe I'll change my mind if you're still raving about it after a year of ownership or something. |

I would get an $8k 2003 BMW 540i 6sp M-suspension like mine! The money saved buys a lot of gas!!!! Heck, the monthly money saved on interest payments, depreciation, and insurance payments, more than pays for its gas!

Nissan Juke Honda Fit Sport Civic Si So far I got nothing. |
True that you could buy something used for much cheaper and with worse gas mileage and the savings would pay for A LOT OF GAS
i recommend a porsche cayenne s. they are very fast. |
Or a Gumpert Apollo
|
Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR, also very fast.

35K is getting close to 2012 STI money and sorry but the mini clubman is ugly as hell.
What about Hyundai Genesis sedan, I think the new 3.8 puts out close to 350hp and is 35K |
35k for a mini ------- pooper is just ridiculous.
|
Seriously Matt, you're too intelligent to buy new. I know that minis actually depreciate very slowly, but still, surely you could wait a year and pay a couple thousand less.
For 35K, seriously, what I would get is this: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...ingId=81087707 Woops that's too much FRAKKEING GLORY and 15K more. That car. So badass. Will be ditching my subie for that in 2 years. Here you go. This one is under budget and even has NAWWWSSZZZ http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...ingId=73298699 Holy frakk you could prob get that off the lot for $20K. OK here is something more realistic. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...ingId=79896748 Woops that's a SICK MALLET EDITION FOR 20K Ok here is a regular one http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...ingId=78261530 |

2013 Fusion with ecobewst? Supposed to get over 40mpg hwy and still have plenty power. I walk 5 min to work though, so what do i know...
If i didnt have my first gen insight back in the usa and were coming home permanently the new fusion would be at the top of my list. With the 2.0l ecoboost engine of course. |

Out of the 4 cars shown the clubman is the clear winner though. |
my phone failed me today.
i wrote something like the ctv-s is 50,000 and makes 4mpg, not anything y8s would consider...or anyone of reasonable human being with a budget and a high mpg goal. |
If I didn't have a penis and wanted a hybrid sedan I may consider the 2006-2007 Accord and Altima hybrids. <$15k, not slow like all other hybrids, decent chassis dynamics and will satisfy holier-than-though enviro-weenie colleagues.

EDIT: That CX-5 looks interesting. Time to google it. I am anti-Mini but best of luck with your new bigMini, I'm sure you'll love it while under warranty. |
first off, not using gas is not the same as having money for gas. high MPG is not about what I spend on gas. it's about pumping our precious terrirost-sourced hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.
also I just don't like the VW stuff. everyone posted that jetta wagon with the big fat round ass and I think it's fugly. and the fords are yawn fests. the focus is too small and too shitty. and as far as the cost of the mini and buying new, our current cars were bought new. one in 1998 and one in 2001. I dont mind financing a new car. |
Early CTS-V would me my choice. You only live once, don't f--- it up.
