Illegal game time!

Lets play a little game. Today I recieved one of these items in the mail. Although all but one of these is dangerous, only one is outlawed in the USA. Which illegal item did I recieve today, the gun, gas cap, cigs, wine/car keys, knife, credit card, dip?

Non safety gas spout.

Or, as I like to call it, the old gas cap that doesn't pour gasoline on my mowing sneakers, click off mid-pour, require turning the gas can upside down, or chug and gurgle like a motor oil quart being poured from the wrong side.

The one that puts more gas on the ground than in my car? A new local track has no gas station within 30 miles, it's funny watching everyone, including myself, try to use the safety ones.

The old style spouts aren't illegal or "outlawed", they are just getting to be a pain to acquire. I'm not certain if the CARB stupidity has officially been adopted by the EPA, but even if it was, it would only apply to newly manufactured cans. You're not required to dispose of any old cans or turn them in to the gubbamint, and it's not illegal to buy a new replacement old-style spout on ebay.

The can I bought new in VA two years ago has one of the yellow spouts where the vent tube runs along the liquid tube. There's no internal jiggler thingy to shut off the flow, which is what it sounds like they have in some other states. These yellow spouts are inferior to the old style cans in terms of quality pouring action, but they aren't totally horrible. I have no difficulties filling up my old Lawn Boy 2-stroke mower. I don't spill a drop of that glorious gas-oil mix on the ground, but every time I start up the mean green machine I lay down a small cloud of fumes containing chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, reproductive harm, and also to kill unborn polar bear fetuses.

It's legal to ship wine, tobacco, knives, and firearms (follow the laws so you don't go to prison). It's legal to ship lighters and butane, but the language used by mail-order cigar retailers suggests that shipping a lighter that is pre-filled with butane may incur a hazardous shipping charge so they usually ship empty. So the answer is, nothing in your pic is illegal/outlawed in the USA or illegal to ship. :bigtu:
