Default I'm thinking of making my own piggyback...

I just realized that I have resources to make piggyback ECU! Project will be open source so you will have to buy parts yourself and put them all together + install software on controller. It requires some soldering skills (very minor) so I will also offer complete systems for around $250-270 shipped. If you assemble it yourself it should be in $210-230 range.

For all of you who like to brag about me trying to sell **** constantly: as with other **** I offer - this pays me no more then $2 an hour (sometimes I am not making ANY $$ at all) after shipping fees and such!

Features:
- Fuel, ignition, water injection, boost, etc tables (up to 20x20)
- Wideband input
- Full takeover of fuel and timing
- Ability to run any injectors
- Datalogging of up to 8 sensors

Now, be patient - programming for this thing will take me good 2-3 months so don't hope to see it any sooner!

dude, you couldn't handle a megasquirt install, which isn't tough and is well documented.

be real.

well, i didnt build megasquirt and it has all the features which i will never use anyways. its overcomplicated and honestly it is pretty hard to tune if you dont know much about specific car's circuitry. thats why i decided to build a piggyback - let stock ecu run everything and leave adjustments of pulses to piggyback.

also, i talked to jerry from diy auto tune. he assured me my settings should work. so far both of us think its a problem in megasquirt itself or wiring. i need to dig into it deeper.

http://www.makingthings.com/ - this is the controller this piggyback will be based on. It features 8 inputs and 8 outputs. Problem is - it can only take 3.3V inputs so 5V will have to be scaled down and that will reduce accuracy. I think that price will make up for it.

Sensors that are possible to connect:
- Wideband O2 (narrowband is most likely to fail although it's still possible)
- AIT / CLT
- Knock sensor (KnocksenseMS?)

I actually know nothing about PC Pro, other than the extent to which people here make fun of it. And that's what I was referring to.

I'll make a wager that this never gets any further than an arguement on this board. Good luck re-inventing the Emanage Ultimate.

Whats wrong with the current piggybacks that are already dirt cheap and have support from multi million dollar companys?
