Arkmage, it's been a good debate.... I think though, to help with Philip's bloodpressure.... I'll say I'm done. You can keep your NRA card, I'll keep my Peace sign.... and we'll meet somewhere in the middle. <G>
Philip.... I think you need to learn some ways to relax.... it's a debate... it's a difference of opinions.... we are expressing them nicely.... it's a good thing.... Dave, |

C'mon, man, if I'm open-minded enough to realize that not all gun owners are violent rednecks, you can try to understand the other side of this coin, yourself. |

Yowch, dude...I'm not even sure what that means, but I can assure you that not all pacifists are homosexuals. And not all those who're gay are pacifists.

I also have been saved when hunting back home in Alaska by a 10 gauge shotgun that was able to down an attacking grizzly bear when hunting caribou. I'm all for guns be they automatic assault weapons or red riders.

When I was really young, like 8 or so I had a FWB 300s. I keep hoping to find another just to have for sentimental purposes :hs:

Those are good guns and can be had cheaply. I would sell my rifles when I graduate but I decided that I would never be able to find a better squirrel slaugtering rifle.

To the others who are actually stating their opinions and having an argument - If the guy robbing your house doesn't have a gun because it isn't easy to get them, then you don't need one to protect yourself. Protection is a bad justification to have a gun. I grew up playing with toy guns and would LOVE to shoot at a shooting range and go hunting. I totally agree with my nations choice of ensuring that firearms be locked up when not in use though. Guns are great when used right. |
