We opted for the "Flat" Air horns because we were able to get an overall greater radius for the stack.
Until we are further along and are flow benching and dyno testing these we will just leave things with the "Flat" stack however I assure you that every measure will be put forth to produce the greatest power and when we are done with development and moved on to testing we will test many different styles to ensure that each manifold has what is absolutely best for it. For instance the "Flat" Airhorn might work better for the Billet manifold while a 1 or 2" raised stack might work better for the Super Street Sheet metal manifold. We will be working hard at balancing the fine line between greatest performance and bang for the buck so it might be a give a little to get a little. Also we will have 2 options an OEM flange and an Ford 90mm flange for whoever is serious about making big power (will still fit any smaller ford throttle body just fine) |
i'lll be a test dummy! i have a dyno day on the 27th! lol

When we were testing intake manifold designs for the FSAE car we found that our particular air horns like to be raised .75" off the "floor" of the intake plenum. Apparently it helps in the port velocity.

Well I honestly have all the testing located close by me (minus a dedicated person who has a miata to let me test on)
One of me and my families best friend owns Inline Racing and has his own dyno and after that is said one of our dedicated customers is a head porter for Lotos Elise and has his own flow bench. Both of these 2 people are within 25 miles radius of our shops location. I am hoping I will find someone here in Houston who has a Miata to help us get this ball rolling. |
A update for the Intake manifold...

I would personally prefer like a 70mm Honda flange.
|
As we get closer to completion we will have alot more options available.
|
Looking awesome so far...
|
Lots of new pictures coming tomorrow when I am at the shop.
Also a very nice dyno chart will be coming early next week. We are finishing off the Honda setups so Miata is just around the corner! |
Tell me where I can send payment!
|
lol no orders are being accepted for anything other than production assistant people currently. Just be patient, and wait for the items to be further along in production first.
Since we have pretty much finalized the honda manifold, you should be looking forward to the first miata manifold being completed within a month now so lets just hope things continue to move at the pace they currently are... -James |
I'll have the cashola set aside. I would love to have one on my car for the Nov 14th NE Dyno Day. I've got a new motor going in in a couple weeks along with turning my boost up to 20 or so PSI. I know this thing would give me some solid gains.

I am not going to spoil the surpise and disclose numbers before they are made at the dyno however I will say that they are shooting XXXX hp ;) wink wink ;) The runners were calculated to produce peak trq at 9k rpm, they intend on shifting at 11500rpm, with rpm fall to land close to 8k (shift) This manifold should do a good job at keeping them in their powerband at all times, the motor is a 2.1L Stroker Honda B18C1 engine (factory 1.8L revving to 7200rpm) Cam Specs and Turbo Specs I am to keep quite about however I can say it is one MEAN Roller Cam as I heard them fire the beast up last night. When my buddies get back (1320 Racing from Houston TX) I will upload dyno chart, time slips, pictures of car, etc. The sticker on the plenum is temporary lol, we didn't have enough time to get our name tag badges machined up so when the car comes back I will be putting that on the manifold, retouch up the polishing and have a good clearcoat applied to help protect its finish. The fuel rail will be machined for flat top bolts, and crome plated 8mm bolts will be installed as well to give it the finished slick and smooth look. I should be doing a full photoshoot of the car and setup within 2 weeks after the manifold has been 100% completed. Ohh yeah, they were in such a hurry to get on the road, that I actually have to ship them the rest of the parts for the manifold out on wednesday (o rings to seal the runners are custom sized, pipe plugs and what not for all water and air passages) if anybody is in the NJ area and feels like going to the E town Shootout this weekend make sure you swing by my guys and check out the Red EG Hatch... -James |
can we get the manifold with out all of the polishing and stuff in RAW to lower the price for us cheap fucks.
|
Sure thing. At the moment all prices are just estimates, after we have the ball moving and things in a good production manner we should really be able to work on the prices a bit.
Now don't go expecting ebay obx/ssautocrome prices though... |
