Default Just got a cobra xrs 797. help please!

My friend said he just got it new, i bought it off him, its the detector itself and the plug for your lighter thingy. it wont turn on, im gonna get my money back, but is there anything special im suppose to do with it? he threw the case away and its never been on, still had sitckers on it. help please, k thanks

oh and i tired calling and they have two numbers, one doesnt work adn the other gives you the number to the one that does work.

I'm pretty sure the lighter socket doesn't get power unless the key is in the "accessory" position. Are you trying this with no key in the ignition?

with the car on. its never been used , and i look, and i found a broken fuse : / Ill be going to radio shack today and gettinga new one lol hopefully it works
