Me driving a friends rotax car a few years ago.

I keep telling myself that I will buy his kart since he never drivers it anymore.

scary when you see how fast you are going on the data pack and then realize that you rear is an inch off the road with no suspension except for you spine.

The little 12 y.o. kids that weight nothing schooled me that day :giggle:.

Seriously, that 125cc TAG kart is still the fastest thing I've ever driven.

The sad thing is I have access to an 80cc shifter kart and stacks of tires that need using, but I can't find any time to go Karting.

Since you are apparently nearby, and familiar with the karting scene; what's the thing to run here? I'd like to do some stuff at Circleville and maybe even go up to Id Ohio with the DART guys. That would have to be a blast in a kart. I've been thinking of this for years and I'm just getting bored enough with my Ducati Monster to maybe sell it and get a kart.

Unfortunately I don't really know anything about karts/karting. What I do know is from my two buddies who have karted in Ohio. The few times I went to Circleville the TAG class seemed to have the best turn outs. The other guy I know runs 80cc shifters, and there seems to be a decent numbers in that class too.

When my buddy first moved here he did a bunch of research on which class to run, which one had the best local competition, economical to run etc. etc. and he ended up going with the 125cc TAG kart.

Thanks. That's what I was looking at. I'll do some more research and maybe go down and talk so some folks at Circleville before spending any cash.

I think I'll be doing some karting at circleville next year in an 80cc shifter. I've got access to use one, and I meant to do some this year but I was too busy with SCCA/NASA racing. I think I may cut out NASA and do karting instead.

I used to have a Margay with a KT-100. I cant think of much that was more fun that that thing, of course the shifter karts would lay the whoopin on me, but it was still hella fun.
