My motor is making some strange noises - LT1 - Htownracing --Home of Houston's Fastest Street Cars

Short version, guy short on oil during oil change adds oil additive instead and engine sounds like crap. Later realizes that it's brake fluid and to "clean" it out uses brake cleaner.

F-Bodies are REALLY big in our prospering street racing scene here, and just like the Honda crowd: for every 1 guy that knows what he's doing there are 10 kids just waiting to blow their shit up or wrap it around a telephone pole.

A local search of craigslist will net quite a few spun bearing motors most of the time.

I didn't get to find out yet if it was just BS or not, but seriously....how can people be sooo fucking stupid?
