Letting gf borrow my miata. Should I worry?

Since I took her car to work, she wants to use mine to go to the store.

:noes:

Hopefully you have those clutch problems from the last time we met worked out.

I let mine borrow my daily all the time and even the Machine. 98lb girl 5ft even driving a 2046lb 300rwhp Miata. And guess what. She turns the fucking boost controller on!

Yes you should.

YMMV

I'm lucky my wife can't drive a manual shift.

y8s 10-31-2008 04:07 PM

I dont mind much. the clutch works fine now. I was mostly worried about her busting the top latches by pulling them without pressing the button. it's warm today in virginny.

neogenesis2004 10-31-2008 04:15 PM

Nothing like a warm virginny!!

Most women are scared to drive my car just due to the clutch. It's just a ACT HD 6 puck but just pushing in the pedal scares them away from proceeding to drive the car.

My wife has been driving my Non turbo miata since my last R&R in September. I came home a few days ago due to medical, and take a quick look at my car.
1. Driver side window regulator broken
2. new dent in trunk lid
3. car has not seen water or soap since i left (live on long gravel road)
4. $@#% McDonald bags in floor board
5. curb rash on right rear rim ( so much for the powder coating)
and the straw that broke the camels back, I come out of the house yesterday, and the right rear tire is flat. I jack the car up remove the tire, planing to take it to town for repairs. I get it off and then see the reason it no longer holds air, the inside of the rim is bent enough to no longer let the bead seal. upon questioning her as to what she hit, she claimed she has not hit any thing:crx:.

ah well I trust my gf to treat it with the paranoia due something i've bled and sweat over.

I won't even let my parents borrow my car. I've only let one girl drive it, and I was in the passenger seat.
