I have so much to say but I can't stop laughing long enough to say it

shuiend 04-18-2012 08:32 PM

Fits all year miatas.

rleete 04-18-2012 08:46 PM

If I charged $20 and hour and cut it out by hand it wouldn't come to 100 bucks.

Miater 04-18-2012 08:55 PM

The thread has been "cleaned up".

Booo for no funny

samnavy 04-18-2012 08:58 PM

I'm not seeing any pictures in his posts.

rleete 04-18-2012 09:11 PM

miata-racer is a complete tool.

y8s 04-18-2012 09:21 PM

price dropped to $100??

and not powder coated or polished?

and not even deburred?

large holes questionably round?

I almost want to make a set just like that and post them for sale for $90.

Vashthestampede 04-18-2012 09:25 PM

I cant see any pictures but I can only imagine.

Its amazing to me that he just wont quit.

blaen99 04-18-2012 09:25 PM

You should, Y8s.

But make them out of cardboard and wood glue.

I would except that my accounts are banned on sight from CR.net from trolling Hyper too much now.

2ndGearRubber 04-18-2012 09:56 PM

Why coolant run next to hot turbo?

2ndGearRubber 04-18-2012 09:56 PM

Because Hyper.

Clos561 04-18-2012 10:29 PM

I received an infraction for trolling lol

TorqueZombie 04-18-2012 10:29 PM

Since his description is crap and there are no photos I'm guessing he made a coolant re-route to go on the exhaust side and go along the valve cover? If so he's an idiot. Lets put rubber coolant lines next to my glowing hot turbo. I don't even have to "touch the iron while it's on" to know that's a bad idea.

MartinezA92 04-18-2012 11:24 PM

Oh jesus what the ---- is this bull ----

lol dis niga srs?

adamvanxxx 04-18-2012 11:34 PM

I seriously hate miata-racer.

samnavy 04-18-2012 11:36 PM

^That's exactly what they are... just brackets that bolt to the valve cover bolts and have a large hole in them that you route your coolant hose through.

I'm not a machinist, but I'd say about $2 in materials and 30 seconds on a waterjet... so yeah, $100 makes perfect sense.

Clos561 04-18-2012 11:39 PM

Pics show for me. can't ss on phone but its so stupid. brackets bolted to the vc that hold the tube probably 1 inch above the manifold. it has some metal cover for the tube but really?

Clos561 04-18-2012 11:57 PM

Would be funny if someone quoted his last post and said " i still don't get it...."

18psi 04-18-2012 11:57 PM

Thread was GLORIOUS before that dipshit miata-racer cleaned it up.
Stupid cunt

On a side note can we get them painted in
supasikultrahawtwinnangbbqheadermaniturbinespraypa int1200degreewinning.com ?
Or would custom painting be extra fee as well?

No clue man, i tried using FF, i tried using IE.. no pics. I cant see vipers pics either. I'm guessing they deleted them or something and i cant see them because the pics arent cached for me.

The answer to your question is that they dont cost 100 bucks...Its all about bragging rights brah. :giggle:

Bryce 04-19-2012 06:32 AM

Are you guys logged into cr.net? I'm not, and I bet Viper is. The images are a post attachment on cr.net, and are probably only viewable by those who are currently logged into cr.net.

Nope i'm logged nothing.

Hey guys look at the new "refined" hyper coolant reroute.

So he is routing the back using a kia water neck.. then going back to the front over the HOT turbo with a with this fancy pipe (that will most likely get hotter than the coolant inside) via a new water neck, and then to the radiator. And on top of it, hes rerouting cold coolant from the back of the block back to the water pump. The front exit of the engine is plugged so that neck is only sitting there for show.

thasac 04-19-2012 07:43 AM

I'm very confused ... where does the radiator come into play?

triple88a 04-19-2012 07:47 AM

You see the open hole at the top? That goes to the radiator.

skidude 04-19-2012 07:55 AM

I missed the fun, I like watching Hyper get trolled, but now I can't see it.

redturbomiata 04-19-2012 07:56 AM

why don't we just run the coolant through the exhust manifold before it goes into the engine.

Yeah seriously, ---- him. He took a dump on my FS thread on my old r-package suspension. Telling me how much it's worth, how I should sell it, where I should sell it, how much I should ask for, and then proceeded to call it all a $50 pile of crap. I'm never selling anything on CR again cause of that ass-hat

I've never seen a mod on any forum do that to a FS thread, it's not like my thread was unreasonable anyways.

It's his picture Brain, i was looking for those epic 100 bucks mount brackets.. i found them but they wont view in big screen, only little thumbnail works and you can hardly see them.

Braineack 04-19-2012 10:08 AM

he's reatarded.

edit: yeah, he deserves that extra a.

LEGIT.
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1334844736

He designed it like this so the coolant hose cools the turbo via diffusion.

Did anyone happen to save the original thread before it got nerfed by miata-racer?

concealer404 04-19-2012 10:18 AM

The thread wasn't nearly as funny as the photos and his description in the original post, to be honest.

It was amusing just because butthurt, but nothing special.

adamvanxxx 04-19-2012 10:23 AM

Also he told be it doesn't get hot over there and I am a dumbass.

Well duh the turbo is intercooled so it doesn't get hot over there. Dumbass.

Ok, can everyone view the photos posted by concealer? I was going to save them and upload them here, but I think that's what he did. No idea, cause I can actually see the originals.

Here's his reroute:
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1334859991

concealer404 04-19-2012 02:31 PM

Yeah i saved and re-upped elsewhere. :)

blaen99 04-19-2012 02:32 PM

So, Hyper's goal with his reroute is to....raise his coolant temp?

adamvanxxx 04-19-2012 02:36 PM

All of this I do not get. Now I know why you guys hate him.

rleete 04-19-2012 05:18 PM

We do not hate. We laugh at.

triple88a 04-19-2012 10:03 PM

phillyb 04-19-2012 10:11 PM

i can't believe he's trying to sell two brackets for 100 bucks. i don't really get that ----.
i don't even give a ---- about the "logistics" behind the reroute.

Opti 04-19-2012 10:32 PM

Okay Ive never personally owned a turbo car or even a miata and I have some comments.

Im used to the overpriced ---- in the Fbody crowd. Some guys makes a splitter for our cars (completely for aesthetics as it doesnt even sit parallel to the ground, but front up instead)
Its a piece of ABS plastic that is 350 dollars. I wanted one, so I looked into it. I can get the ABS for 2 for 75 shipped, and I called about water jetting it, and the guy said if I supply the file and the materials Im looking at 50 a sheet. so Im at like 120 for one. But those brackets are seriously overpriced, Ive got a friend with a machine shop, and he probably make the design and cut them for like 30 bucks.

I dont know the flow cycle of the miata cooling system, and am too lazy to look it up, but Id worry with the thermostat closed and essentially no coolant movement in the block that in that spot the coolant would get hot as hell.

And I was under the impression that the reroute was to reduce a hot spot on cylinder 4, but with this the coolant hitting 4 is still going to be hot as hell, seems redudant.

Isnt there a bunch of turbo manifold (any top mounts) that this wont fit.

Why not develop something to route it under the intake manifold, if there is room (I dont know), it would be on the cold side (where the smart money is) and if you kept it hidden the guys doing the tucked/clean look underhood would like it to.

Those brackets looks way to big and overly complicated for holding a coolant hose.

Seems like more of a visual mod, and its still ugly so its a fail/fail in my book.

1. Like every other reroute.

2. Correct.

3. Correct and correct again. Our books must read about the same.... Minus my hatred for the LT1. :giggle:
