Default LOOK MA! I'm on TV

The Continental Tire Challenge race from Barber is replaying on Speed in about 10 minutes (12 Noon EST).

I was driving the #92 car in the ST class for the first 50mins of the race or so. I get a decent amount of air time, especially the part where I get rear-ended by one of the C360 cars. The car is a black, red and white 2012 Civic Si.

Check it out if you have time

No chance to watch it, but did want to comment on how badass that is.

Full race coverage will be available on Grand-Am.com at some point.

I'll post here when it is.

Maybe I'll even do some sort of race write-up and include some in-car (not from the race, SADFACE) and other pictures

some pici-tures

sorry for attaching, i'll try to embed some others

4th pic is my co-driver and I pretending like we're having a serious conversation.

5th pic is after I got butt pounded by the Compass 360 civic and smashed into the RSR Civic. Apparently the rear bumper cover was a flappin in the wind, I had no idea...

Full race broadcast on Grand-Am's website...

GRAND-AM TV

ST race start is about 5:40. At 5:49 you can see me going around the outside of Genesplicer's buddy in the Murillo 328i.

7:30 you can see me in the background taking a car on the inside throught T1.

8:00 - 8:10 you can see my teammate take 2 cars on the inside of turn six. That corner is scary all by yourself, let alone side by side, let alone three wide...

11:40ish you can see the mess that is the mid pack that me and my teammate were running in.

15:06 is a replay of the Compass360 car out braking himself and smashing into my left rear which threw me into the RSR car I was setting up to pass. After this incident the car was fairly difficult to drive because hte rear alignment was changed significantly. I was also a bit flustered because of the hit... It's funny because the video makes it look not that bad. In the car it felt so violent. Immediately I figured our race was over because the hit felt so hard that I assumed our rear suspension was caved in. The replay doesn't do it any justice. The car that hit me did get a 60s stop and go penalty for avoidable contact, so at least Grand-Am was watching.

16:10-16:40 is when the GS leaders go by the first time. You can see my newly rearranged rear bumper cover / braking and turning aid. This part of the race is when I'm re-passing some of the cars that got by me after the C360 incident. Red mist is still fairly prominent at this point... Oh, I did not see the Nissan 370 and almost ran him off the road, completely unintentional, whoops.

Ok, don't have time to watch the rest of it and make comments. I haven't even seen the second half yet.

Cheers
