Removing the "rats nest" of vacuum lines and emissions controls. Rebuild the carb, and if that doesn't work, I've got my eye on a Racing Beat intake and Weber side draft carb combo.

Plus some really good scrubbing and cleaning inside and out. It's all original including paint and interior. There aren't any tears or rips in the interior either. Might see if I can grab a set of seats from a NA Miata to put in there though. Foam is about shot in the seats after almost 25 years and they aren't very supportive anymore.

Right now, the dash is half out of it to replace all the light bulbs that have blown and rewire the stereo that was put in by the PO. Probably put some better speakers in too while I'm at it.

I would just rock it old school. There's something enjoyable about a well balanced, but lower performance car for the street. You can actually get near it's potential without being a dumbass and getting killed.

Fix it up for DD duties and track **** the Miata.
