They live like everyone should live. Keep to themselves and don't waste money. Live to be happy and not collect **** they don't need. I respect them probably more than anyone else I know. I only see them twice a year so shame on me...

He never ate a hamburger? WTF? I can see not using a cell phone or computer, but never eatin a hamburger? That's just plain un-american! j/k. Your grand father sounds like the kind of dudes I sit and bullshit with at the Auburn VFW. As for the gun thing...I owned an SKS and I liked it as far as blasting rounds off and not caring. I was 16 then. Now I am all about accuracy. I use an AR-15, and I swear by it. People might say an AK is better cause you can throw it in the mud, load a clip in it, and it'll still fire. I never owned an AK, so i can't pass judgement. I guess it's all about what you want. Do you want to hit someone in the head at 300 yards with the 1st shot? Or do you want to empty a clip and scare the **** outta someone?

Until I shot the SKS I used to think that a carbine would be a good home defense weapon. I kept hearing people talk about them with that in mind. Now that I see first hand what it will do I can say that would be a horrible home defense weapon. Unless you were defending the neighbors house across the street and needed to shoot through your walls to get to the bad guy. I think I will stick with my shotgun from now on.

Only SKS I've seen in person didn't do it for me. I guess I would have to shoot one to have any basis though.
