its too bad for the employees, what a shitty time to loose your job. However, I never shopped there, and pretty much anything I would want to buy there would usually end up being bought online from newegg, tigerdirect, etc ... The economic fat is now being cut and only the best survive in a time like this.

I heard this last night, went expecting some killer deals but no dice. They didn't have the 25' S-video cable I needed anyway.

Thus far, 10% off electronics, 30% off furniture, no-returns/refunds and their website is no longer eCommerce, but propoganda instead.

There was a 75-100 body line outside the door at 0945, doubling in size by 0959.

Expect most of the worthwhile bits to be picked over by the vultures by the end of the weekend...

(I got the DVD player I needed for the bedroom for Internet pricing, w/o paying shipping or having to wait for UPS...)

Order that from HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more!. Should be able to get that for $20-30.

...and Best Buy posted a 7% decrease in sales to last year for comp stores. Not bad all things considered.

just went to my local branch. excluding the week before christmas it was probably the busiest i've ever seen the store. even still it didn't really look like a ton of people were buying big ticket items.

i guess if you did have something specific you needed it would be worth checking out, but i kind of left with the mentality that i could still probably find anything i wanted online for a little less.
