Maybe I haven't been paying attention....
But do we have a new way to dress up your ride?
Last Sunday I was driving on I-95 in eastern CT when I got stuck behind a line of VW's - maybe 20 or so of them - in various stages of "slammed," probably going to "Dubs in the Woods" or similar gheyness, doing 65 in the left lane and holding up traffic. 5 or 6 of them had stuff hanging off their rear bumper or tie-down hooks - a couple plastic pumpkins, something that looked like an empty "Snuggle" bottle, some other **** I couldn't identify - practically dragging on the ground. Being October, I get the pumpkins, but...
I figured it was a goofy one-time "we're on a road trip" thing, but this morning I saw a TC with what looked like a Tiger Woods headcover hanging from the back.
Just a gay CT thing?
BTW - a state cop grabbed the leader - a green A4 GTI with the Snuggle bottle.

"I used to have an
A. anime character
B. JDM keychain
C. something weird I found
hanging off my back bumper, but I lost it when
A. I slammed my car and it ripped off.
B. it was stolen even though I used zipties.
C. it ripped off a second time when I didn't learn from the first time."
That isn't really a new thing. Fifteen-plus years ago I had a Mustang "5.0" badge hanging on a dog tag chain from the back bumper of my '68 GTO. It was an insult to them that I displayed to try to egg them on to race. The custom dates back to the 1960s.
Pumpkins and Snuggle? What kind of gay **** is that?

Seen it. Gay.
At the autocrosses in Jacksonville a few years back all of the Subaru guys were using stuffed monkeys "hanging on" to their wings with their velcro hands. We Miata brethren all went and bought rubber chickens and ran those slammed in our trunk lids as some sort of response.

Maybe a rainbow-colored Fleshlight would be appropriate for a Miata......
I can see trucknuts, they are at least trying for humor, and I endorse the taunting of Muskrat drivers by any means, especially by vintage GM. But this was just odd crap nearly dragging on the ground. And a stuffed Tigger?
I do like the idea of chains, too. Maybe with a studded dog collar.

It's getting big in the Honda and VW community here. I used to have a "DO NOT REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" banner you put on aircraft before their flown. I did it because I thought it was funny.
