I watched the emissions testers do something like this with an AWD Subaru. They put the front wheels on the rollers and got the car bucking, stop, scratched their head, and tried it again. I asked my dad (Subaru mechanic) about the place, and he told me that they do that to a couple of cars a year.

I had a 'tuning' shop argue with me when I first bought the car that I was just a kid and didn't know what I was talking about. The one guy in the place who knew I was right just kinda laughed to himself. I did a donut in their parking lot, walked back inside and asked if he still wanted to argue...

Needless to say, they never got my business for anything.
