Any feedback on the entry level Hobart units? I am looking for the capability to weld aluminum (1/4" or less). This is for personal light home/hobbyist/enthusiast use, it won't see heavy usage. Making mounting brackets for stuff in the car, accessories on the tire trailer, that sort of stuff. I have been looking at this unit:

Hobart 210 MVP Hobart 210 MVP

along with the spool gun:

Hobart Spoolrunner 100 Hobart Spoolrunner 100

Thoughts?

I have the upgraded miller equivalent of that welder at home (211 autoset). Basically the same thing / same parts. I would have to suggest running it in 230v as it runs much better. But it's a great machine.

I do know the spool gun at work is awesome, and works fine. But i've never done anything under 1/4" with it so i can't help you there.
