Having stayed here 3 yrs ago prompted us to return this last time...to despite all negative reviews we could not believe that they where true. Once we arrived to check in, this is when we realized that the place had really taken a turn for the worst. From the time we walked through the main lobby to the time we walked back out to go home it was horrifying will never return to this property. Just a few examples don't know what you are eating..drinks are nonalcoholic and no sleep unless you sleep during the day because the doors slamming and the outrageous noise in the halls keeps you up all night. Fights every night young adults having intercourse on the roof of the beach front bldg to name a few. The rooms are run down and need a major overhaul. I once recommended this property to a lot of people but hope none of them take me up on it. Three quarters of the resort is shut down and can see why. It appears that some renovations are taking place but they need to take it much further.
The Italian restaurant didn't serve chicken as it stated. To this moment were still not sure what it was that we spit out. The buffets were horrible as the food wasn't appealing. Once we hit Charlotte NC on our return flight, we literally indulged in Burger King for something edible to eat. After 7 days of this, we were literally starving. This resort offers no nightlife for adults unlike before. I will not give it the satisfaction of any rating the oasis. It's such a shame. It's very dark and gloomy over the Oasis, hopefully the sun will shine over it once again, because the place certainly deserves it. The new management that has taken control, doesn't have a clue.

Stayed May 2011, traveled as a couple

let me start this off by saying i went here for free (thank god) and at that time it was named "be live". I won a trip from corona to go down here for 4 nights. I don't want to be a spoiled brat because at the end of the day i did get to see cancun for the first time for free, but this resort was truly disgusting. It seems the only people at the resort, at this time, was other people who won the trip too which should have been the first sign to us that this place was dying off (this was further evinced by the fact that north half was shutdown during our stay). We also heard rumors that there were fights between the management and workers which we definitely believed considering that we did not find one worker there who wasn't extremely rude to us or just generally unhappy. It makes me believe everyone was working for free during our stay since it was apparent that they did not want to be there. Regarding the physical resort it seems like it could have so much potential due to how large it is and how beautiful the actual layout was. Unfortunately this was all overshadowed by the fact that the food was almost inedible due to them not serving anything onto hot plates. Meaning, if you didn't eat it within the first 2 minutes of it being put out it was hard and cold. The sit-down restaurants had awesome potential as well due to their ambiance and decor, but again, the food was generally inedible. I would never go back, even if there is new management because there is no way what we saw could have been turned around in a few months. The room and bathroom smelled like mold, we never could find chairs on the beach, the food wasn't edible the wireless internet was something like $10 for a half hour (only in the lobby), we had to pay to use the in-room safe and some type of $5/day insurance thing for room damage. The only benefit was that i was able to see the beautiful beaches of cancun which convinced me to come back and stay at a nicer resort.
