my boost gauge....
quick question, when you have a boost gauge removed should it read 0? mine reads 10, should this be? :dunno:

I don't want to overwhelm you with technical jargon but your shit is fucked up.

damn, when i turned down my compressor to about 5 psi and blew it into the gauge it read a 5psi gain, but to 15 and not 5, it was a freebie too..:vash:

10 what? kpa? atmospheres? psi?
most mediocre gauges (autometer) read 1-2 psi off at rest. Defi cheats by making everything point straight down... so technically mine reads 30inHg of vac at rest :) http://gallery.y8s.com/miata/turbo/DSC00656.jpg.html |

Most mechanical vac/boost gauges should read zero when the engine is off or the gauge is disconnected.
Electronic gauges cannot be counted upon to read any specific value when de-energized. Some will return to the lowest point on the scale, some will just jump to a random value, some will remain wherever they were when power was cut... |
the only thing electrical about this one is the light i soldered into the back that was missing, the rest is mechanical
