Amber was a 9-year old half-lab, half-beagle, and the most bitchin' dog you could ever ask for. She was always happy to see you, always wanted to play, and acted very territorial towards the gardners/pool guy (even if she was really afraid of them). My family is in Hawaii and they said she threw up her dinner at the dog kennel, laid down, and stopped breathing.

I'm really torn up. This was totally unexpected. She's been around since I was like 11 years old. Fucking blows. :(

That really sucks man, sorry to hear it, labs/lab mixes are such nice dogs.

driverdog 02-19-2009 05:48 AM

Sorry about your loss, been down that road myself more than I care to remember. A part of us goes with them.

boardboy330 02-19-2009 06:59 AM

My dog passed from Cancer...long...

Sorry to hear about yours - thoughts are with you and your family.

It suck because dogs (although animals) becoming a part of the family...I would act the same for my dog as I would for my family...fuck with me or the dog...family will take care of it.

Realy sorry about your loss. I remeber my last day with my 17 year old cat right now. Still hurts.

lsc224 02-19-2009 07:47 AM

Sorry to hear about your loss, we lost our dog last October and we still miss her. It does hurt and I can feel your pain.

Torkel 02-19-2009 08:13 AM

So sorry to hear that. I had to go over and snuggle my little dog a bit after reading your post. Don't know what I'd do if something happen to her. There is something about a good dog’s natural and unselfish way of loving you and complete innocence (compared to us at least) that makes them so lovable. It has to be experience to be understood. My condolences.

Braineack 02-19-2009 09:05 AM

I doubt I'd take losing my cats very well. Sorry for your loss...

RotorNutFD3S 02-19-2009 09:17 AM

It's the exact same as losing a part of your family. Sorry for your loss.

levnubhin 02-19-2009 09:22 AM

Sorry for your loss man. Till this day I think about my childhood dog. It really sucks.

That sucks man, sorry for your loss.

I lost my lifelong dog when I was 18. I had that lab (black, Nikki) from ages 5-18, I feel your pain.

leatherface24 02-19-2009 09:30 AM

hustler 02-19-2009 09:38 AM

Damn, sorry to hear this man.

I believe that with pets, the absolute best thing to do when one passes is to go to a shelter and make another animal's life better. Seriously man, hit me up on aim if you want to talk or whatever, its totally cool.

thymer 02-19-2009 10:17 AM

Very sorry for your loss.

y8s 02-19-2009 10:19 AM

:(

johndoe 02-19-2009 10:28 AM

Nothing to say except that sucks. I've been there. You gave an animal a nice life though and hopefully in time you'll be able to do the same for another.

+1 Looks like she was an awesome dog.

Really sorry for your loss.

I have had nothing but labs and lab mutts, and they all rocked.

We don't have one now for this very reason, my daughter is 2, and I don't want to see her deal with losing her pet as a young teen. Will wait a few more years.

Losing a great pet always hurts. The one dog we had that wasn't a lab was my mom's pomeranian. Freakin' barking ball of fur that sounded like a weedeater whenever I picked it up. I still got heartbroken when he passed.

GT3man2001 02-19-2009 12:16 PM

Sorry to hear.

One of our Dachsunds will be 20 years old next month.
