My head is gonna explode
Picking a color for my car is making me nuts. I had picked out a mercedes color i like a lot, but now my painter thinks i should go with a custom color. I've been staring at colors in this book and i am going to lose my mind. Good news is it should be getting started real soon
Anyone have any pics or links to miatas with custom colors? maybe that could help.

what color are you leaning towards?
i think metalics on the NA miatas really accentuates the compound curves on the hood and fenders. solid colors washes the design out, but brighter solids help tie the form together, aesthetically. custom color and finishes can be a bitch for a couple of reasons:
1 - if it;s custom, you need to get and keep a small sample if you ever need a panel repaired. the specifi information of the paint is even better.
2 - custom finishes, like pearls and heavier flakes are a bear to blend and match in the case of a panel repair. if it's not laid correctly, the retouch is obvious to the eye.
3 - cost
all things considered, it's your car, and i understand the painter asking you about the custom paint. a repaint is a fairly big job and to do it another color, going unique can add some appeal to the price and time.

yeah i'm actually thinking about this color called tiger eye from PPG's vibrance collection. Price will the same no matter what color i go with. And it's a ppg custom color not just a custom mix so i could get more paint if i needed it. Anyway it's funny i like this color because i normally don't like green, but this is gold in some lights and green in others with tons of pop and it's bright.
I love whites but i think that will be too plain for this car. Flat black to me is kind of an unfinished look and i won't bee needing to hide any dings. I was really set on a mercedes color called designo graphite, i'm just into those type of colors(still might go with this). I also really like burnt oranges and coppers but i've been seeing too many lately. And i've always liked blues there's also so many out there. Don't like reds, usually hate greens.
