I was wondering if anyone would find that odd.

I went to the range on Saturday. It'd been almost 3 years since I fired an M16... and you're supposed to do it every 6 months! Things kept conspiring against me until now. First time go, even with the temperature and whatnot. (got to 108 and stayed there most of the afternoon, with IBA, ACH, etc. it starts to feel pretty hot. I went through 4 camelbak's worth of water)

No word yet on next duty station. I've spoken with branch once and am trying to get Ft. Gordon again, since that's one of the only places I can use the language on a daily basis.

It's almost surreal to pedal up (literally) to my company in the morning and think that I just went that whole distance myself. Then you see all the dudes that live in the very same building I just reached rubbing their eyes and yawning as they stumble outside for formation...
