I've been seeing this all over town as of the last few months. Is this the latest thing kids are doing these days now that they've gotten bored with rusting out their body panels?

It seriously looks like they're riding on the inside sidewalls of their tires. They must be getting pulled over for this because it looks pretty unsafe.
Seriously, wtf?

its called the "fitment" trend.
I guess it's called that because they manipulate the tire stretch and camber in such a fashion that it almost fits under the fender.
just another JDM/anime fad. ignore and continue on.

This started right towards the end of the rust thing. Im ready for it to go, because a good chunk of these idiots are using wheels that would look good otherwise.
Edit: not sure how behind I am but I just noticed.

Well I haven't seen a lot of this but there's been a purple low rider in my neighborhood with slanty wheels for a couple years now. Its not too extreme and its somewhat tasteful so I never thought too much of it.
You must have been under a rock, this idiocy has been going on for a while now.
Hell, even back in the days of big body kits and whatnot there was this idea of "the more negative camber, the better". Although it has now been taken to a level of total absurdity.

Nothing screams "performance!" like -15* camber and super skinny shitty all season tires. Clearly all such cars are driven by pansies who are afraid of actually driving a car.
