Lunatic knows! He lives in a town that pretty much wouldn't exist without it's College. 1/3 of the population goes home for the summer.

Trucks suck on snow and Ice? when did this happen? I throw 100 or so lbs on the back and make it wherever i need to go easy. I dont run stock rubber though so maybe that has something to do with it. Dhaark trust me get in on campus and forget that **** 7-8am classes etc suck even worse if you have to comute to them i only had about 3 miles on mine it wsa perfect to ride my motorcycle then it got cold and snowy and my bike threw a chain on me. No money no transportation other than a bus :( not very fun. If i had lived on campus i would have finished my degree by now i am sure of it. it is alot easier to study and get **** done with out the parents or parent horning in on your life like that trust me. They might think they can keep better tabs on you living at home etc and keep you motivated but for the most part they will probably just add alot more stress than you need. Space is good

The part with my parents is already resolved... I can do whatever I want, leave at whatever time I want, come back whenever I want, they already realised that I know what I have to do and when so they don't even bother telling me what I should do according to them...

Lunatic... I currently don't have a beater. And I'm living at home for the first semester than I'm moving out. It went down from 2 years of living at home to 1 semester... and I can actually move out whenever I want for a week, month or so because my gf has an apt 5min walking distance from the buildings I have classes in...

This thread went way off-topic, even I wrote many offtopic things. This was a thread of choosing a car and went to whether I should live on or off campus.

The Saab will be a great beater, that is why I'm picking it up.
I can't even get out if my subdivision in a miata, so I don't want another miata to drive during the winter.

dunno know your def of "new bodied" 9-3... i assume you're talking about 9-3SS.

Refuse to put "solid" and (my '01) "9-3" in the same sentence. Saab sucks. 9-5, 9-3, new, old, GM/Swedish, doesn't matter, CR can bite me. The Saab suckiness even permeates into saabnet.com and the fools who think they're good cars.

9-2 is a-ok because it IS a subaru and any Subie mechanic can service it.

Dhaark, enjoy your time in A^2 (if you make it), don't study too hard. Make sure you run the Naked Mile and do the Hash Bash. Go Blue.
