Good point, but the Skyline doesn't have the same rapport with older folks that a good ole 'Vette does. I'd bet we'll see the Z06 having younger owners relative to other Corvettes, but older relative to the Nissan.

 

I really like those guys over in the UAE, the videos they make are very good. The OPs youtube find I saw about five months ago, read the comments on it. Everyone is 100% sure that theres either A. Something modified on the vette to make it faster than a stock 505hp Z06, or B. The driver of the GTR 'threw the race' to make the vette look faster. From what I understand, one guy owns both of those cars, so I doubt hes that bias.

What would I rather have? The Z06. I dont give a **** if old guys have them or not. 505hp Stock + 9psi Procharger == Good Bye ZL1.

 

Had one up here Thursday to dyno. Almost makes at the wheels what they advertise at the crank.

 

I read that in a magazine recently. I think is was Sport Compact Car. They were able to dyno a few of them and found that they all made over 500 crank HP according to their math.

Yeah, Nissan's numbers are kinda bull. No. They're really bull. The output of these things is over what they are stating from the factory. That's what I don't understand. Nissan goes around making all these wild claims, then has shady power figures and judging from this video, the car just isn't living up.

Great piece of engineering, but I'd take a Base corvette over a GTR. But, I've driven a few C6's, so I can say that I actually like the way they feel. I'd be perfectly happy with one.

 

I won't take a Vette until they start using modern technology. DOHC and coilovers at all 4 corners. Till then it can be the fastest car in the world, and I wouldn't take one if it was GIVEN to me.

Fine, Give it to me. I think general motors has proven TIME AND TIME AGAIN they DON'T NEED > 2 valves per cylinder. DOHC == Overrated.

By that article its also pretty obvious on a properly engineered car Coilovers are overrated aswell.

The corvette z06 is very far from out performing any other car in the world. I know of a lot of porsches and ferraris that like proper coil overs and dohc.
